Congressional Committees
Congressional committees are the workhorses of the RxUSA legislative process. Standing, select, and joint committees hold hearings, draft legislation, conduct oversight, and report bills to their respective chambers.
Types of Committees
- Standing Committees — Permanent committees with jurisdiction over specific policy areas
- Select Committees — Temporary committees established for specific investigations or purposes
- Joint Committees — Committees with members from both the Senate and House
